Email a Cell

As mention in another post before, I have only had cell phones since 2002. Never needed one before then. The only reason I got one in 2002 was because my wife needed one for working grave yard and I got mine for free. Now, I don't know how I lived without one. I am connected with it. I always have to have it on me. I am always getting texts or sending them. I use it to keep up-to-date with people on twitter, that I do not want to miss what they have to say. I use it to update my twitter account also. Recently, I got a new phone, nothing fancy, Verizon Voyager. Again, it was pretty cheap with our discount. I was playing around with it, plugging in new contacts, trying out the flickr emailing a picture feature. Then figure why not email myself from my phone. Now, I could do that in the past, but never took advantage of it. The possibilities are endless on keeping track of minor items or using it in meetings to remind yourself of important topics. Remember to check your plan, I have unlimited, thank God. This post was nothing fancy, nothing deep thought provoking, just a sharing reflection time, late at night. I know Liz Kolb is doing some excellent things with cell phone in education (See Previous Post). What else can you think of using a cell phone to help in the world of education?
